These are a few snaps of the first day of work. Check back later because we will also be posting beach pictures from last night! We love all of you! Mamas, we are taking very good care of your babies!
This is the mess hall. It is like a big screened in back porch with fans in the corners. As you can see, there are T-shirts hanging from the ceiling. Every group that comes here on mission signs and dates their shirt as a token of their visit. It is really fun to read everyone’s shirt. Breakfast is served at 6:15, lunch at 11:30 and supper at 6:30. The food has been really good, but we are missing our cokes. No coke machine!

The two following pictures are our painting crew. They painted an entire trailer’s interior. No electricity! This is Jessica, McKenna and Brianna.

The rest of our painting crew minus Noelle, is Claire, Kayla, Nicky, and Dottie. Go girls!
This is Greg and BJ’s crew consisting of Jody, Dakota, Tucker, Daniel, Tommy, Sarah and Molly. They were digging ditches for a day and a half. Good job guys and girls!

The is our flooring crew: Alayna, Taylor, Mallory, and not show Gus, Kody, Shane, and Marsha. They are doing the whole house’s flooring. Way to go!

This is Ken’s crew, Michael’s crew and the lunch crew. It took all of us to get this ditch dug in the hot sun. Pictured are: Pattih, Annisa, Emily, Brooke, Michael and Gus.

More of this crew! Melaina, Alayna, Kellyann, Mallory, Brooke, Emily, Dylan, Amanda, Spencer, Gus, Hailey and some others taking a break that we can’t see.

On the first day, we fixed our own lunches. Pictured are Marsha, Rebekah, Taylor and Anna Marie. The lunch crew for the first day was Rebekah, Patti, Kellyann, Emily and Anne’ Marie

This is the type of hut that the guys are staying in. These particular ones are called: Matthew, Mark, Luke….Okay what’s next???
You guessed it! The JOHN! This one is for the ladies. It has five shower stalls and 5 toliets. You can’t drink the water because of sulphur content. Kind of reminds us of Mexico.
And for all of your viewing pleasure….KEN propping on his shovel and telling others what to do! Just kidding he is really working! Ha Ha!! LOL

Coming soon!!! Our first beach excursion!
Thanks for the pictures Patti. I needed to see them. I love you Anne Bananna. Tell Amber I love her too. Also Molly, Jessica, Emily, Mrs. Marsha, Mrs. Dottie, oh just tell everyone. I MISS YOU. Can’t wait to see more of the gang. Oh, Ken! Do you need another shovel so that you don’t get off balance. LOL Have fun

Hi. This is Pastor Don from Lakeshore. It looks like a lot of folks in Saline are keeping up with their crew through this web site. Very cool. I want ya’ll to know that your folks are doing a fabulous job. They have been such a blessing to us this week – willing to do all sorts of jobs as part of everything that goes into the relief, recovery, and rebuilding efforts. Their hard work and flexibility have been an encouragement to me. What Christ-like service and example I’ve seen in your team! Parents of the teenagers should be particularly proud of them. Bro. Stan has been doing a great job as well. He looked a little stressed at times; lol. but he really is doing a very good job keeping everything going. He seems like a really great guy. Thank ya’ll so much for your willingness to partner with us for the recovery of our community and the glory of God.

Thank you all for coming to Lakeshore to serve. I am especially grateful for the group who dug the water/electrical line ditch to my little home. That blessed me to see you all working out in the hot sun and knowing that I am one step closer to moving in my house is very exciting.

Patti-Thanks for the blog and pictures! It is so much fun to be a part, even if from a distance!
Dottie–How is the hut? Any windows? I also have been tempted to call you to hear the details! Somebody said Stan was stressed? I find that hard to believe! lol.
Continuing to pray for you all!

After looking at these pics I see that ya’ll did not tell Ken that the shovel is a working tool!!!
Michael: Ken said that your carpentry skills were really good…Hmmm…guess who you got that from??? For ya’ll that don’t know…Michael’s grandpa (my dad) was a master carpenter. Love you Michael and Kayla…
Ya’ll are all doing a great service for others…May God Bless…
